How Long Does the Beauty Marks and Freckles Healing Process Last?

For most people, the initial visible healing stage will last one week. It's not very noticable and comfortable process.

While Beauty Mark and Freckle tattoos are a relatively simple cosmetic procedure, it's important to take proper care of the treated area during the healing process to ensure the best possible outcome.

In this article, we'll go through the day-by-day healing process for beauty mark and freckle tattoos, so you know what to expect and how to care for the treated area.

AVOID during Healing Process:
Sun Exposure

Make-up

Skincare products

Face peels(may cause permanent makeup to lighten)

Facials or masks

Swimming pools, Jacuzzis or other bodies of water for 15 days

Scratch, pick, scrab or stretch

Long, hot showers




DAY 1

Immediately after the procedure, the treated area may be slightly swollen and red. Color is very dark.




DAY 2-3

The area may still be slightly swollen and red but should start to calm down. Color still very dark. It's important to keep the area clean. Avoid using any skincare products or makeup on the area.
You can apply a thin layer of healing ointment.

DAY 4-7

Day 4-7: The healing process is well underway, and the area may start to scab over. This is normal, but it's important not to pick or scratch the scabs as it can cause scarring or damage to the tattoo. 
It's important to keep the area clean and dry. 

DAY 8-14

The scabs should start to fall off naturally and it can be no color underneath!
Don’t panic it’s normal healing process.
It's important to be patient and wait at least two weeks after the scabs have fallen off before assessing the final color of the tattoo. 
The skin still healing and developing its pigment during this time.

The area may still be slightly dry and flaky, avoid exposing it to the sun or any harsh chemicals.

DAY 15-20

The healing process should be complete, and the tattoo should be fully visible. 
To maintain the tattoo's longevity, it's important to avoid prolonged sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 on the area when exposed to the sun.
