Are you prepared to live with red or yellow eyebrows for 2–3 years with laser removal or would you prefer to gradually remove grey pigments without worrying about unwanted color changes?
Not every PMU removal case is suitable for laser, and understanding your options is key.
Laser removal isn’t always quick or straightforward, especially when dealing with fresh (1–2 years old) organic pigments or certain hybrid pigments (organic + mineral). These pigments often change to red or yellow during laser treatments.
Organic pigments are made up of three primary colors: black, red and yellow.
- First laser session removes black.
- Laser can target red, but once the pigment turns yellow, no laser can remove it.
At that point, yellow may fade on its own over 2–3+ years or Remover can be used for faster results.
If your brows turn yellow after laser, remover is often the best option. While removers can tackle both grey and yellow pigments, grey is typically removed more quickly. This is because the immune system responds better when pigments are grey, but its ability to process yellow pigments is weaker.
Many clients say they’d rather have grey eyebrows than deal with neon yellow tones. For grey pigments, removers offer a gradual and predictable solution without the risk of unwanted color changes.
There’s always an option to customize your removal plan. If you already have red eyebrows or prefer to start with laser, we can combine laser and remover treatments for optimal results. However, it’s important to understand that wearing red or yellow eyebrows will be part of the process if you choose this route.
Whether we choose laser or remover, each method has its pros and cons. During your consultation, we’ll discuss the best approach for your situation to ensure safe and satisfying results. Patience is key, but the outcome will be worth it!
